Sydney Hoffner is a U.S. ARMY combat veteran who weaves irreverent, witty, true stories about badass women. Her first pilot, mentored by Kira Snyder (Executive Producer-The Handmaid's Tale) and Marlana Hope ( Executive Producer-Grey's Anatomy), placed as a quarterfinalist in the 2018 ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship. Her third pilot, mentored by Lisa Ebersole (Executive Producer-Corona Town), written while working full-time as a Post-Production Coordinator on Star Trek: Picard, was a semifinalist in Austin Film Festival's 2020 Teleplay and AMC competition. She is a two-time 2nd-rounder at Sundance Episodic Labs. She holds a BA in Film and Television Production from Montana State University-Bozeman, and an MFA in TV and Screenwriting from Stephens College. Her latest feature script is a true-story Western set in Glacier Park, Montana.
